Vacation Bible School is a fun-filled, engaging outreach designed for our Sunday School children, but especially for the friends they invite who may not yet know Christ.

During this special time, the church is transformed into a vibrant, themed environment where kids can learn, play, and experience the joy of the gospel in the most memorable way.

It is an event entirely powered by the dedication of our volunteers. From the wonderful seniors of Karis Fellowship, to Life Group members, and our energetic youth. Together, they bring to life the amazing decorations, engaging games, and inspiring teaching sessions. It is truly an intergenerational, God-glorifying celebration that unites our whole congregation in service and joy!

Our very first Vacation Bible School (VBS) was held in 1961. Since then, enthusiastic and dedicated men, women, and youth have faithfully come together each year to make VBS a success. Over the decades, the programme has grown and evolved in many ways. In 2008 and 2009, enrollment peaked at about 360 children, leading us to hold both morning and afternoon sessions.

Beginning in 2001, we introduced printed T-shirts for kids and volunteers as we adopted Lifeway programmes. Then, in 2014, God inspired and enabled our VBS Committee to begin creating our own themes, complete with original curricula, songs, T-shirt designs, games, and crafts.

Through it all, our mission has remained the same: to impact children with the good news of the Gospel and the love of Jesus. We look forward to continuing this tradition, trusting God to use VBS to touch lives for generations to come.
