Pastor Soong came on as Associate Pastor of Pantai Baptist Church in April 2019 after having pastored churches in Taiping, Penang, Melaka Seremban and the Klang Valley for the past 39 years. He was in Melaka for the past 20 years before coming back to his home town KL in December last year.

He is married to Alison Kuan (homemaker) with 2 sons and 3 daughters. He did his theological studies in Dallas Theology Seminary (MA in Biblical Studies), Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary (M.Div), Asia Graduate School of Theology and Asia Baptist Graduate Theological Seminary (Th.M). His ministry in PBC involves preaching, teaching, visitation, counseling and general caring of members.
